Our ice age

1-5. PECTINATE SHELL
These shells are approximately 5-10 million years old, they are from the increasingly
sweeter sea sediment, found in the local clay.

6-8. CONE SNAIL
The snails are around 30 million years old, they appeared way before the dinosaurs
extinction.

9. WOOD-AGATE
This piece of wood, which became stone, is approximately a million years old.

10. FRAGMENT OF THE JAW OF AN ANCIENT RED DEER
That red deer from the ice age was 1,5 times bigger than a present-day red deer.

11-12. FRAGMENT OF A MAMMOTH”S TOOTH
These tooth fragments from the end of the ice age belonged to the molar dentition group
and suitable for herbivorous diet, which the mammoths changed four times during their
lifetime.

13. FRAGMENT OF A MAMMOTH”S HIP BONE
This piece of hip bone was found in the river Danube and it could”ve belonged to a young
female mammoth.
