83. CARROT SPADE
Ripe sweet carrot types (carrots, parsnips, turnips, etc.) were dug up with this iron spade.

The rake was used to collect the cut hay or to tend vegetable and flower beds as a tool
for breaking up clods and covering seeds.

One of the tools of viticulture, they cut the (wild) shoots with them, thereby regulating the
growth and productivity of the grapes.

This tool was used to plant the seedlings in the gardens around the house and in the
fields.
