DISHES<br \/>These red painted, simply shaped miniature clay dishes could be paint holders or children<br \/>toys.<\/p><p>135. LID<br \/>This hand shaped burnt clay lid is decorated with pasted clay bumps, its pliers are broken<br \/>off.<\/p><p>138. BRONZE PLATES<br \/>It is likely that the girder wall of his burial chamber may have been decorated with these<br \/>hammered plates, which were decorated with Ponting and embossing.<\/p><p>139. BRONZE BAND<br \/>The 16 punched bronze plates were found in a burial chamber, they may have belonged<br \/>to a diadem or headband, and it showed the outstanding social title of the dead.<\/p><p>150. POT<br \/>They put into this clay pot in the tomb, the food they meant for the afterlife.<\/p><p>152. BONE CYLINDER<br \/>A cylinder made of deer antlers could have been a paint holder sealed with organic<br \/>matter; they filled the scratched designs with bitumen to be more visible.<\/p><p>155. CLAY BULL NOSES<br \/>The noses could belong to a clay bulls head, which may have been decorated a bigger<br \/>dish\u2019s shoulder.<\/p><p>156. CLAY BULL AND BUCK HEADS<br \/>The red painted and graphite glazed bull and buck heads may have been decorated the<br \/>shoulders of bigger pots.<\/p><p>159-163. SPINDLE BUTTONS<br \/>The small pierced spindle button shaped clay beads could be plummets at the end of a<br \/>bobbin wand, the buttons belong to the clothing, ankle braces or children&#8221;s toys.<\/p><p>167. BOWL<br \/>They used this carefully shaped small vessel with a graphite glaze that evokes the shine<br \/>of metal vessels at a funeral ceremony.<\/p><p>169. BOWL<br \/>These thin walled short clay bowls occurred in tombs and on settlements.<\/p><p>218. COPY OF A BRONZE STATUE<br \/>Maybe this small bronze figure blowing a double flute was a part of a burial sculpture<br \/>group, on its leg the hole shows that it was attached to something.<\/p><p>219. CLAY BUCKET<br \/>This clay bucket mimics a contemporary metal vessel which occurred in noble persons<br \/>tombs, its form suggests that they used it to stir wine.<\/p><p>264. PIERCED SHEEP BONES<br \/>They pierced the sheeps interestingly shaped astragalus so they could wear it strung on<br \/>the neck.<\/p><p>265. BULL HEAD<br \/>They may have expressed strength, power, title with animal- and bull head on a burial<br \/>dish.<\/p><p>266. BIRD SHAPED DISH ORNAMENT<br \/>The birdie may have decorated a dish or lid, maybe it forms a waterfowl.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Afterlife 133.
